What is Belgian Beer Weekend?
Founded in 1998 on the Grand-Place in Brussels, the Belgian Beer Weekend is the world’s most authentic and prestigious festival dedicated to Belgian beer culture.
For over a quarter of a century, it has transformed one of Europe’s most iconic spaces into a living temple of craft beer.
Over 50 breweries, from family-run microbreweries to legendary Trappist abbeys, present their creations, “offering visitors every style of Belgian beer.”
Why in Venice?
In 2026, for the first time in its history, the Belgian Beer Weekend leaves Brussels for its first European edition and chooses Venice as its new home.
FREE ENTRY
No ticket is required. Everyone is invited to enter the square and immerse themselves in its magical atmosphere, beneath historic arches, with warm lights and background music.
BREWERIES DIRECTLY IN THE SQUARE
Over 25 Belgian breweries, from family-run microbreweries to legendary Trappist abbeys, set up craft beer bars where the brewers themselves and/or our dedicated staff serve their creations, tell their stories, explain the styles, and answer questions.
There are no vending machines: just people, passion, glasses, and bottles.
